Morale for this story:
''Cowards die many times before their
deaths; The valiant never taste of death but
once.''
--
William Shakespeare (1564-1616)
So it is easy to become a hero (need to die
once) and it takes courage to become a
coward (need to die many times).
Sometimes ago, the kids in England were
playing a game. They will ride their bicycles in
full speed towards a running train. Before the
collision, they will lay down on the rail and let
the train pass over them. If they are slow,
they will hit the train and die. The one who
survive will become a hero among his friends.
The one who won't play the game will be
mocked by his friends as coward...
He who dare to play the game only die once,
are they really heroes?
He who dare not to play the game, are they
really cowards?
The kids seem really stupid when they play
this game. But when you look back into your
life, have you ever done any stupid actions
just because you are afraid of being mocked
as a coward?
My mentor gave me a different definition for
hero...
- A hero does not live on people's mouth,
he/she lives within their hearts.
- A hero has the wisdom and courage to
make a wise judgment on the situation
and admits cowardice if necessary.
- A hero is the one who acts upon his/her
INTENTION, not his/her ACTION.
If you were the leader of a country, you need
to make a decision for a hopeless 10
war. Will you surrender and admit
cowardice but save the lives of your
citizens or will you fight back and sacrifice
your citizens' lives for your glory and ego? A
true hero is the one who care for other's life.
It is hard to surrender because you will be
mocked by your enemy and your own people
as cowards. But if you believe in God (or
similar things), your brave decision and good
intention won't be unrecognized...
"Law is based on your action but
life is based on your intention......"
