hotels
Hotel Boulevard is located near the Nairobi University. The area looks secured. It is gated with swimming pool. It has what a hotel should have. It is OK. Not fancy but OK. Some of the staffs and helpful and friendly. The price is a bit high around $75 to $90 / person. There is TV and hot water.
simple and clean The staffs are friendly and helpful. It is only a few blocks from Lake Victoria, but I don't remember seeing the lake from the room.
The camp is pretty good around US$30 per night. This is one of the better experience in the Uganda trip. The restaurant is nice with good vegetarian food. The portion of the food is a little bit small, but should be adequate for most people.
No hot water, but it is OK. The cabins are neat, quite fit the environment. At night, you can hear Hippos grazing outside your camp. Going to the loo at night could be fatal.
The room is clean (in cabin standard), and the color is nice.
This is a pretty good hotel. It has hot water. The room is so secured you may have a hard time entering it yourself. The room is modern and clean. The street is noisy (because of the mosque) but is not a big problem.
It is cold at night and often visited by wild animals like zebras. And you can hear the lion sing at night. It is like sleeping in the camps of one of those monster B movies. I had a hard time falling asleep, but somehow I still fell the experience is quite positive.
it has an antique feel to it... I.e. kind of feels like a jail in the middle age good for tourting prisoners but unfit for tourists the bedsheet looks kind of clean if you don't look too closely no soap, no hot water, no towel, no garbage bin, nothing but it has no shortage of mosquitoes 18:28:02 staffs are rude and pushy they rudly asked me to pay in advance for the laundry and when the laundry returned, it has bird droppings on it rooms ar small and chaotic one of the worst hotel in town 18:52:24 to be fair: the staff seems only rude to me, he looks friendly with others, so he may not be a bad person in nature
This is also one of the best hotels in the trip. There are ants everywhere but it doesn't bother me. The mood of the hotel is great. It has the tree hotel feel (it is actually a tree hotel). The staffs are helpful and friendly and great. The food is great. It is much better than what this photo is showing.
Simple but good. The environment is quite and cheerful. Good place for meditation. They can provide food if you pre-order. The food is pretty good.
It is affordable and clean. Each floor has its own gate so it's pretty secured. It cost about US$40. It has hot water and TV. The staffs are helpful. They were honest about the price when they quote me about the taxi (they told me it would be cheaper if I look for one myself).
