indigo girl and her precious torch, children in desert

The torch was the most important property in the household. Like a city girl showing off her diamond, the indigo girl wanted me to take picture of her torch. It was sad, in such a desert world; the torch had replaced the diamond and became the only symbol for pride. But, on the other hand, the torch does light better than a diamond at night. The diamond has no use in the desert.
