16/12/04 7:47 pm Dinner at Meherangarh Fort It is absolutely stupid, having a one man dinner at the top of a romantic fort. Well, a little bit of luxury once a while isn't a bad idea. All I need is just an ATM machine to access my endless wealth.
Only a few tourists dine at the fort. I guess it is not a very convenient location.
Vegetarian thali cost 300 Rupees, pretty reasonable at the western standard.
The waiters looked very bored.
The musician is being totally ignored. In desperation, he sang loudly to attract attention.
I find the only clean toilet I have seen in India.
Now, more and more people is coming.
The thali tasted OK, some traditional Rajasthan selections, nothing too spectacular.
The desert tasted good, called rosemary or something.
What am I enjoying? Perhaps just a feeling of being the upper class? Everyone, once a while, wants to look important, to look like a millionaire, to enjoy the superiority of the fortunate vs. the suffering of the unfortunate, like a self-illusive maharaja,
