Fantails on a Log in Cobar, Cobar

When you're trying to look serious but your tail gives you away!

In the tranquil setting of Newey Reserve in Cobar, I came across a delightful pair of fantail birds perched on a weathered wooden log. Their striking black and white plumage was beautifully complemented by their fanned tails—a signature trait that never fails to captivate. One faced forward with an air of curiosity while the other glanced sideways as if pondering its next move. The log beneath them bore visible grain and curious blue paint markings, hinting at its history as part of a larger structure or perhaps an outdoor artwork. The background was a soft blur of green, evoking the serene ambiance of the park. It was a moment that encapsulated the quiet elegance of nature's simpler creatures.
