Vancouver International Airport always manages to surprise me with its eclectic mix of art and culture. Today I came across a vintage typewriter that had been given a modern twist with a custom Star Wars-themed design. The retro black and silver typewriter featured round keys reminiscent of a bygone era but what truly caught my eye were the vibrant illustrations from the Star Wars universe adorning its body. Stormtroopers AT-AT walkers space battles and iconic landscapes transformed this old machine into a piece of art that bridges generations. Placed on a white pedestal it stood out in the busy exhibition area reminding me how popular culture can revive and repurpose even the most nostalgic items.
