Just spend a few minutes with this game and you'll be hooked! Hidden under the cute graphics and simple control scheme is one of the most addictive games I've ever played. The point of the main game is to roll a ball (with a monkey inside it!) around on a platform (usually weirdly-shaped and full of traps), avoid falling off the platform and try to guide it safely through a "goal" gate. The direction/movement of the ball is controlled INDIRECTLY by tilting the platform. The control is very simple and most people can pick it up easily: only the analog control stick is used, YES, you can play this game with just your left thumb. And since it's analog, the angle at which the platform is tilted is directly related to how hard you push that analog stick.

The main game can be played in three modes: Beginner (10 stages), Advanced (30), and Expert (50). While Beginner mode is faily straight forward, the difficulty grows in exponential speed in Advanced and Expert. Paths start get to really small and traps start to increase in numbers, and the margin for error start to diminish until you can no longer see it. This is one of those games you may never finish, but will keep trying.

Aside from the main games are various party games and mini games. You'll find billiards, bowling, and even mini-golf in this game, all with balls with a monkey in it!

This game is truly unique and offers excellent values for single-player and party actions.

This game is absolutely wonderful. Engaging and challenging levels that build gradually in difficulty and a bunch of fuzzy monkeys trapped in balls as characters. Brings me back to my hamster rearing days. If only I had the kind of crazy mazes and puzzles this game has.
The best part of the game, as well as the sequel, is its ability to hold my interest. Even after I think I've gotten all the play I can get out of this game I keep coming back for more. Either for the great multi-player games, the fun party games or the always difficult, but rewarding puzzles. If you plan to go the distance with this game it will take up most of the hours of many days, but right away this addictive little gem wins a place in your heart and consistently rewards you for your efforts.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say that supermonkey ball is a nice, safe and fun game. I really enjoyed the racing. I played it with my brother and we had a great time. This is a good family game. There are a lot of party games to choose from, and they are all fun. So if you were thinking about buying it you should, I promise you won't regret it!
