Although I haven't played Final Fantasy IX yet, it's a safe bet that Majora's Mask will get my vote for best game of the year. Though it lacks the staoryline driving Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask comes blazing with so much to do you're not even going to remember Ocarina of Time.

Majora's Mask is basically composed of dozens and dozens of different side quests instead of just one linear story line. Quite simply, you're free to do almost whatever you want whenever you want in any way you want to do it. The graphics are pretty much the same. The expansion pack is required although I haven't noticed much of a diffenece besides perhaps less slowdown from Ocarina of Time. The gameplay remains just as rock solid as before. Control is superb. If you're a Zelda vetran you'll notice some classic tunes from previous Zeldas in Majora's Mask. There are a few new tunes, some old music from Ocarina of Time, and a few classic sounds you're sure to be farmiliar with.

I really can't reccomend this game enough. Some may be disappointed in the extreme similarity to Ocarina of Time.. but why change a good thing?

First of all, for all those people who gave it three and two stars, don't listen! There is no game that is perfect. But as always, there are good points and bad points. I'll start with the GOOD-

*Great graphics - characters and backgrounds are filled with amazing detail!

*Much easier than the previous Zelda, OOT (I know a lot of people say it's harder, but I think it is MUCH easier).

*The plot shifts from your ol' 'rescue the pretty princess'!

*You can collect tons of mask, and expeirimenting with Link's new abilities is always fun!

*Plenty of things to do outside the dungeon if your stuck (an amazingly complex world).

*GREAT FUN!

Now,the BAD-

*The whole 'you got three days to save the world' stinks. I hate timed games. Very frusterating.

*Although the plot is finally different than the other Zelda games, there are FAR too many similarities with characters and relations

*Going to play it for the second time? BORING.

*Cost. Expensive game - expansion pack

*Same old puzzles. You will find that many of the secrets such as 'shoot the eye with the arrow' are exactly the same

All in all, this game was really great. If you haven't tried out The Legend of Zelda: Ocarnia of Time, I'd get that first. Stick with the classics. Ready for something, new, challenging, and fun? Get Majora's Mask, it's deffineitly worth your money!

This game is the best game ever. The whole series for N64 and Gamecube is the best. It has a deep and interesting story with all sorts of interesting, lovable characters. I love this game so much that my friends hate me for talking so much about it!

Graphics: 4/5 excellent, but can be a little better.
Sound: 3/5 good. There are voices, but they only say things like "oh" or something when text comes up.
Music: 4/5 I think it's really great, but my mother thinks it's repetative. She thinks that all music is repetative though.
Gameplay: 5/5 Could'nt possibly be better

This game can be saved at anytime and has three saving slots.

If you don't at least try this game, you're missing out on a lot!
