They do run kinda warm, so I don't recommend you putting it on top of something you treasure. This one does have an internal fan to keep the heat down. It is a Power Inverter (adapter) that plugs into your car cigarette adapter. Then you plug your game console (PS2, GameCube, XBox, whatever) into this adapter. Along with one of the many portable T.V.s or screens, you can play on the road. Amazon won't allow a link to the company website, inteclink, so I'll have to settle to tell you to do a search on Amazon itself with the phrase, "Universal Game Inverter" to find similar products.
