The gameplay system of "Dead To Rights", the Jacking ability of "Grand Theft Auto", A similiar Chinese Mythology to "Fear Effect"(I wonder why they put this in a city type game, it's not really realistic)And It a Chow-Yun Fat movie cover(Doesn't it look like the cover of the replacment killers?) Well this is how it breaks down
Pros:
Great Graphics
Hollywood voice acting
Banging soundtrack
Pretty good story
you can be Snoop, allright!
cop missions range from simple arrests, to exploding shootouts
Can carry 2 weapons(And they don't have to be the same)
Cons:
Game can go from easy, to straight out hard
The stealth missions are no brainers(just hit person before you hear a buzz)
The game isn't really all that bloody
The chinese mythology isn't really nessacery
WAY 2 SHORT!! OI beat game in 2 days, with all endings
Why can't I upgrade from pistols to automatics, that woulda been tight
Automatics run out too quick
Sometimes, old ladys have guns, is LA really that bad!? Maybe
That Korean guy is a big thorn in my side, every time I fight him.
Neutral:
Unlimited ammo to me seems like cheating, but it can be good at alot of times
The replay value is depending wether you like the game or not

It's got a ton of flaws, but it somehow won over my fun side. It may not be near the GTA franchize, but it's something good to play while waiting for the next Grand Theft Auto. It's a much better choice than State of Emergency, which I failed liking while waiting for Vice City. I recomend a rental, you'll beat it in a short time, and if you like, then you should buy, if not, well it's better to waste $4 than $50.

True Crime is not a complete GTA clone, but instead of just running around and killing people, you get to go on missions. Yes, your probably thinking that i havent played GTA to its fullest, but i have. I own gta 3 and gta vc, and i love them. This game takes the character and throws him into underground tunnels to do Max Payne/Enter the Matrix action. The weapon system is like State of Emergency because you pick up weapons, use them, and lose them. Now instead of stopping there, they threw in a whole Street Fighter thing. After you drive ruthelessely, dodge bullets, and hang with hookers, you get to beat the crap out of your enemies the Street Fighter way.
Oh, and one more thing, the BEST part of the game is the in car gun duels. Driving by on behind someone and IN SLOW MOTION blowing them to smitherines, is by far the coolest thing. Think MATRIX RELOADED for the highway scene and than think of a videogame, GTA style.

i bought this game at gamespot. out of the hundreds of games i have played, this one is the best for me. you can jack cars and arrest people. its really cool. best $30 ever spent.
