Jak 2 is one of my favorite sequals
Pros:
excellent graphics
Superb voice acting
Nice storyline
Loads of fun
action packed

some missions are cool
got weapons so I can burst caps

One of the few sequals that are on par or better than the first

Some missions are pure frustrating(Like using the robot, or racing in the last racing level)
Too bad the shooting style wasn't like max payne, or like the first one(Where u could use a 1st person style aim)
Cars explode way too easily, making the missions pretty frustrating

this is a game jacked a nice percentage from Grand theft Auto(Jaking Cars), Tony Hawk Pro skater(Skating), Rachet and Clank(freestyle weapon control, and inventory), and Devil May Cry(Being able to transform into something stronger) but this game put it to good use. this game is one of the few games that are a Godfather Pt. 2 in videogames in my mind, and those who like the first Jak and Daxter should definitly give it a try, those who like platformers should give this a shot as well, but those who hate seing games use formals that were previously used, should walk on by.

The success of 'the Precursor Legacy' was due to the stunning visuals and the sense that the character could move at will through the different worlds. The gameplay was easy enough that the story kept moving no matter the age of the player.
The latest installment has little of the originals magic.
The enviroments are finely detailed yet dark and interaction with peripheral characters and the enviroments in general, is limited. After hearing the same dialog while driving (or running) through the city streets time after time quickly grows irritating.
Jak 2 has the feel of a much smaller, restricted game than the first, though it's probably much larger and more elaborate. The decision to make the gameplay mission based (think the GTA series) was an unfortunate one. In fact the comparisons with GTA 3 run deep, the game engine seems to be the same.
The addition of weapons does little to enhance the fun factor this time around, and only goes to make Jak 2 seem similar to other games that are, in my opinion, more enjoyable.
Naughty Dog had an opportunity to take what was great about the first game and use creativity to expand and enhance. Instead they chose to put out Grand Theft Auto for kids.

For those who liked the first Jax. This one is compeletely different. The game play is not as fun. Driving around the city between missions gets old and is far to time consuming. Once you get a gun that is all you use, unlike the first jax where it is was fun the fight the bad guys.
So, Don't Buy It if you are looking for the same format that was Jax one.
