Recently I have purchased Star Wars Star Fighter Special Edition and it is a fun, yet challenging game packed with intense action and gripping gameplay. The graphics are the best I have seen yet on the XBOX. The sound is wonderful including everything from explosions to voice-overs. I also like the way the game packed all the buttons on the game controller into action and they all do something. The multi-player add-on is outstanding and great fun to play with your friends using the normal split screen function. What I like about this game is the way it keeps you involved in all the action around you and actually makes you feel like you're in a real space battle! What I don't like about this game is the unoriginal story that follows through the game that I don't understand and the tightness of each level for example: on the first level (training level) you can only get so high and then it bounces you back down into the middle. A good fighting game should have tons of land that you can feel and explore but this doesn't. So if you're a real Star Wars fan and like fighting games I would suggest it and if you don't... buy something else.

I have an XBOX and have had one since the 15th, I Love HALO, PGR, DOA3, MADDEN. I was hoping for a little more from LUCAS. This is a fun game but its does not have all that Lucas could be doing for these games. This game should have delivered so much more and is in no way a reflection of the XBOXes full potential. Yes, being a Star Wars Fan, I had to have this game, yet it has been a small let down. I gave it a four out of five more graphics than playability. It really is about a 3.8/ 5 but I get tired of seeing all the fake reviews prior to this last week when the game came out. Don't beleive half of what you read on these reviews. Try this games yourself, rent them first if your resistant. But overall XBOX is the real thing and I am looking forward to Lucasarts to deliver a true XBOX game in the future.

The game concept is ok, the actual interface and screen readouts leave much to be desired. What is that twirling arrowhead in the lower left corner, and how do you use it? Cumbersome at best. The game also suffers from having to reload every time you restart, which is often until you get the hang of it.
