Basically it was a plug and play deal. My 40GB iPod was set up for the Belkin Media Reader and all I did was plug it into the iPod, inserted the SDD card and it began to import my pictures. Don't expect blazing speeds like your desktop or laptop computer, REMEMBER this is a "portable" device!! Once my pics were imported, I unplugged the Belkin Reader and took the iPod to my computer. It took a couple of minutes to import the pics from the SDD card to the iPod, but it was faster than I expected.
I connected the iPod to my computer (Windows XP) to access it as a removable hard drive. I accessed the iPod drive and found my pics. It was that simple!! Each SDD card that gets inserted into the Belkin Reader is saved as a "Roll" (EX. Roll 1, Roll 2). Erasing the SDD card and deleting Imported pics (aka "Roll 1, Roll 2") from the iPod was simple too. Just follow the instructions.
I did also check to see if I could Add pictures to my "Collection" from the iPod while using the EasyShare Software and that worked just fine too.
All in all this product has performed as I expected and works just fine.
