Rating: 4/5 from 4 reviews Incompatible with Compaq PresarioI purchased this Ultra ATA/133 controller card to access a new 160 GB hard drive. As recommended I installed the controller card and turned on the computer. Windows XP would not boot up. According to SIIG technicians, there is likely a compatibility problem between the controller card and my Compaq Presario 7AP140 and/or Windows XP. Double check compatibility issues before installing this card! Good if you need more IDE channelsI bought this several months ago when I scavenged a CD and HD out my old computer to put into my new one, and discovered I had run out of IDE channels. Installation of the card is a snap under WinXP. Stick the card in, tell Windows where to find the drivers when it detects the hardware, reboot once the drivers are installed and you're up and running with capacity for 4 more IDE devices (as long as you've got the bays to hold them) for not a lot of money. Total installation time for me was about 10 minutes. Excellent Product !!!This product is a decisive choice in terms of future, because its ATA/133 compatible, and all of the future products are gonna be ATA/133 compatible.
