Pelican Amongst Dead Trees in Menindee Lake, Menindee

When you're trying to blend in but you're the only one alive!

The sight that greeted me at Menindee Lake was both haunting and beautiful. Amongst a forest of dead trees standing tall in the water, a lone pelican glided gracefully. Its white plumage stood out starkly against the backdrop of bare branches reaching skyward. The lake's surface mirrored the clear blue sky above, creating a serene contrast to the starkness of the scene. As I watched this solitary bird navigate through its eerie surroundings, I was struck by the resilience of life even in desolation. Menindee Lake offers a unique and compelling glimpse into nature's ability to endure and adapt.
