Under the Bridge in Seattle, Burke Trail
When you take 'under the bridge' a bit too literally.
As I biked further along the Burke Trail, I found myself standing beneath one of Seattle's many iconic bridges. The sheer scale of the structure above me was both intimidating and awe-inspiring. The steel beams crisscrossed like the veins of some giant, urban beast, holding up the weight of the world above. Graffiti on the concrete barrier beside me added a splash of rebellious color to the otherwise grey scene. In the distance, the cityscape of Seattle sprawled out, a mix of modern buildings and lush greenery, with another bridge peeking out like a sibling playing hide and seek. The sky above was a dramatic canvas of blue and white, the clouds casting playful shadows on the city below. It’s funny how a simple walk can lead you to such a striking juxtaposition of nature and human ingenuity. The Burke Trail never ceases to surprise me. Now, let’s see what other hidden gems this trail has in store.
