Yawning Spotted-Tailed Quoll at Devils at Cradle

When you realize it's only Monday.

Cradle Mountain's Devils at Cradle sanctuary provides an intimate glimpse into the life of the Spotted-Tailed Quoll. Today I observed one such quoll as it yawned while perched on a weathered wooden log. Its brown fur was speckled with white spots, making it stand out against the natural backdrop of blurred tree trunks and foliage. The quoll's pink nose twitched as it opened its mouth wide in a yawn, revealing sharp teeth and a pink tongue. This serene moment highlighted the delicate balance these creatures maintain within their natural habitat—a testament to the sanctuary's dedication to conservation.
