When your car gets a taste of sea travel.
Boarding the Bruny Island Ferry felt like a transition between worlds. The vehicles lined up neatly on the deck, guided by yellow lines that seemed almost ceremonial. Among them was a white van bearing the 'maui' logo, perhaps a rental or tour vehicle. Above us, passengers peered through large windows from the upper level of the modern ferry. The sky was a perfect blue, unmarred by clouds, casting everything in a bright light. As we prepared to cross the waters to Bruny Island, I couldn't help but reflect on how even in transit, there are moments of stillness and contemplation.
