Architectural Detail on Monroe Street Bridge, Spokane

Even the bridges in Spokane have more personality than some people I know!

I wandered around Kendall Yards, a neighborhood that feels like it was plucked straight out of a storybook and dropped into the heart of Spokane. As I meandered along the pathways, I stumbled upon this architectural gem on the Monroe Street Bridge. The bull skull relief, standing proudly on the bridge, seemed to be a silent guardian of the city’s rich history. The overcast sky added a touch of drama, making the entire scene feel like a page out of a gothic novel. The greenery around the bridge, with its mix of pine trees and other foliage, framed the structure beautifully, as if nature itself was in awe of this human creation. And then there's the vintage street lamp, standing tall and unassuming, a quiet witness to the countless stories that have unfolded here over the decades. Spokane, with your unexpected charm and serene landscapes, you never cease to captivate me. Just when I think I've seen it all, you present me with another scene that takes my breath away. It's moments like these that make you realize the beauty of coexistence between urban life and nature. Spokane, you continue to surprise me with your charm and hidden gems. It's like the city and the forest have an unspoken agreement to make every corner a masterpiece.
