Spokane River and Monroe Street Bridge, Spokane

Looks like the river decided to take the scenic route under the bridge!

I found myself mesmerized by the serene yet powerful flow of the Spokane River. As I stood on the pedestrian bridge, I couldn't help but notice the Monroe Street Bridge in the distance, its arches gracefully spanning the river like a giant welcoming embrace. To my left, the historic red-brick building stood as a silent witness to the passage of time, while the modern structures on the right seemed to be in a perpetual state of admiration for their older sibling. The river, with its calm demeanor, reflected the partly cloudy sky, creating a perfect harmony between earth and heavens. Spokane, with its unique blend of history and modernity, never ceases to amaze. As I watched the water flow under the bridge, I couldn't help but think about the eternal struggle between nature and civilization. The river, undeterred by the presence of the bridge, continued its journey, reminding me that in the grand scheme of things, nature always has the upper hand. It's moments like these that make travel worthwhile – the unexpected encounters with the sublime that leave you both humbled and exhilarated.
