When life gives you rust, make it art!

Continuing my journey along Taiwan's east coast, I found myself at the Dulan Sugar Factory, a relic of the island's industrial past now serving as a canvas for artistic expression. The entrance, with its rusty metal gate adorned with mechanical parts and a large flower-shaped piece, stood as a testament to the passage of time and the enduring spirit of creativity. The concrete facade, weathered and peeling, told stories of days gone by, while the white floral patterns painted on the wall added a touch of whimsy to the otherwise somber scene. It’s funny how a place once synonymous with industry can now evoke such a sense of artistry and reflection. The overcast sky cast a diffused light over the setting, making the textures and contrasts pop in a way that felt almost deliberate. As I stood there, taking in the scene, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and insignificance. Here, amidst the remnants of industry, I was reminded of the impermanence of human endeavors and the enduring power of creativity. And so, with a mix of curiosity and reverence, I continued my exploration of Taiwan's east coast, eager to uncover more of its hidden gems. Each step brought new discoveries and deeper reflections, making the hustle and bustle of city life seem like a distant memory. Here, amidst the raw beauty of nature and the echoes of history, one can truly appreciate the simple things in life.
