Taitung Temples, east coast

Why did the bridge cross the river? To get to the other side of serenity!

As I continued my exploration of Taiwan's east coast, I found myself standing before this striking red bridge in Taitung City. The bridge, with its vibrant hue, seemed to boldly declare its presence against the backdrop of misty mountains and an overcast sky. It was like a giant, colorful exclamation point in an otherwise muted landscape. The river below, calm and reflective, mirrored the bridge's audacity, as if nature itself was in on the statement. The hexagonal concrete blocks lining the riverbank added a touch of industrial charm, reminding me that even in the midst of natural beauty, human ingenuity finds a way to make its mark. The overcast sky cast a soft, diffused light over the scene, making the red of the bridge pop even more. It's funny how a simple structure like a bridge can evoke such a sense of connection and continuity. Standing there, I couldn't help but ponder the bridges we build in our own lives, the connections we make, and the divides we cross. With a mix of awe and curiosity, I continued my journey through Taitung, eager to uncover more of its hidden gems. Each step brought new discoveries and deeper reflections, making the hustle and bustle of city life seem like a distant memory. Here, amidst the raw beauty of nature and the echoes of history, one can truly appreciate the simple things in life.
