Black-winged Stilt by the Water, Cleland
When your legs are longer than your patience!
Cleland Wildlife Park remains an oasis of tranquility amidst nature’s splendor. Today I observed a Black-winged Stilt standing gracefully by the water's edge. Its long red legs created a striking contrast against its predominantly white plumage and black wings. The bird’s thin black beak was perfectly adapted for foraging in shallow waters. Behind it was a blur of green foliage and a mix of water and reeds suggesting the natural wetland habitat that makes this park so enchanting. Sunlight cast gentle highlights on the stilt’s feathers highlighting their vibrant colors and intricate details. It was a serene moment capturing the essence of nature’s quiet beauty.
