National Museum in 228 Park, taipei
When your ceiling game is stronger than your floor game.
As I wandered through the halls of the National Museum in 228 Peace Memorial Park, I found myself drawn to the ceiling more than the exhibits. The stained glass dome above me was a riot of colors and patterns, each piece meticulously placed to create a masterpiece that seemed almost too perfect to be real. It's funny how we often look down at our feet, worrying about where we're going, and forget to look up and appreciate the beauty above us. The soft light filtering through the glass cast a gentle glow over the room, making everything feel a bit more magical. It's like the museum was saying, 'Hey, don't just focus on the ground; there's a whole world above you worth admiring.' I couldn't help but think about how we, as people, are much like this dome – made up of countless fragments, each with its own story, coming together to create something beautiful. So, I stood there, neck craned, soaking in the artistry and wondering what other hidden gems this city had in store. Maybe next time I'll find something equally captivating on the floor, but for now, I'm content with having my head in the clouds – or rather, in the stained glass.
