Peaceful Bird Perched on a Branch, Queensland

This bird looks like it’s contemplating its next novel.

The dove tilted its head ever so slightly as if it was trying to decipher some distant melody carried by the breeze. Its feathers shimmered faintly under the dappled sunlight, a subtle interplay of colors that seemed almost too intricate to be accidental. Around me, the zoo was alive with voices and footsteps, yet this bird existed in its own bubble of quiet purpose. I found myself wondering if it ever envied the more flamboyant parrots or the majestic eagles nearby. Maybe it didn’t care. Maybe being unnoticed was its greatest strength.
