Kangaroo Grazing in the Park, Queensland
Does this pose make my tail look long?
There it stood, as if sculpted by some ancient hand—its posture both elegant and deliberate. The kangaroo seemed unfazed by the murmurs of visitors passing nearby. Its gaze was steady, fixed on something distant or perhaps inward. I couldn’t decide if it was pondering life’s mysteries or simply waiting for the next blade of grass to catch its attention. There’s something humbling about watching an animal so perfectly adapted to its surroundings that it becomes an extension of the land itself. A child tugged at their parent’s sleeve, excitedly pointing at the kangaroo’s massive tail. The parent nodded absentmindedly, their eyes already scanning for the next exhibit. I stayed a little longer, letting the moment linger like a quiet note at the end of a song.
